Board Members Present: President, Heather Shaw; VP of Grade School, Monica Cross; Amanda Sparks, VP of Munson; Treasurer, Cindi Jennings; Secretary, Erin Manning

January’s Meeting Minutes: presented by Heather Shaw. Motion to approve made by Amanda Ruebusch, seconded by Lynzee Backus.
January’s Treasurer’s Report: presented by Heather Shaw. Motion to approve made by Heather Leggett, seconded by Michelle Riggs.

Principal’s Report:
Deena Waltrip, Munson: Not present, presented by Heather Shaw. MPS is saving their T.A.P.E. funds to raise money towards new playground equipment.
Raquel Greer, MGS: Not present, presented by Heather Shaw. MGS is saving their T.A.P.E. funds to raise money towards new playground equipment.

Committee Reports:
Fundraising: Dates for spring fundraiser: March 12th – April 2nd. This is a catalog sale (Signature Fundraising). If they sell 25 items they will get a Sidewinder scooter! Watch for more info to come home soon.
Carnival: Because of the construction on the schools and a lack of space, we will not be able to have a spring carnival. Instead, we will be having a pancake feed on April 13th instead. Tickets will be pre-sold. We will also have an activity to coincide with the breakfast. There will be prizes, clowns, the Wildcat will be there for photos. This is a going to be a great family event that you can invite grandparents, etc to. Watch for more info soon!!
Box Tops: Kristin – prize brackets go up to 200 box tops now. 25 box tops is a Spangles ice cream cone, 50 box tops is a cookie from Sweeties, 75 is from Down Home Sweets for a cookie, 100 is a Calabrone’s spaghetti/fettuccini, 125 is a Sonic ice cream cone, 150 day pass to Mulvane pool, 175 is a free movie rental from Family Video, 200 is a free game at Derby Bowl. There will also be class parties as incentives throughout the semester.
Yearbook: Yearbooks will be sold for $13 this year. Sale dates: February 19th – March 8th. You can purchase them online this year (same price for the basic yearbook but you can choose to add extras to your yearbook like having it be a hard back, adding your child’s photo to the inside front page, adding autograph pages, etc, at an extra fee).
Book Fair: Feb 11, Feb 12 and Feb 15 at MPS. Please attend, buy some books for your kiddos and support the school! If you would like to volunteer, Monday from 5:30 – 7:30 is in need.
Teacher Conference Meals: We have already voted for $250 per school for Teacher Conference Meals. We have acquired a free donation from Olive Garden in Derby for salad, bread sticks and soup for one of the evenings. The second evening we will provide pizza for MPS and MGS has planned their own meal. We would love to have parents send in snacks, desserts and drinks to supplement the meals! THANK YOU to Olive Garden in Derby for their generous support!!

Old Business:
MGS Spelling Bee: Congratulations to Reagan Wright on winning the 1st annual Spelling Bee! This will become an annual event so talk it up to your kids for next year!!

New Business:
Family Movie Night/Family Game Night:  March 8th at MHS. We will be showing Peter Pan. We will provide bottled water and popcorn again as well as door prizes. A motion was made by Lacie Blevins to spend no more than $200, seconded by Michelle Riggs. Passed by unanimous vote.
Future of T.A.P.E.: There will be a special meeting just to talk about this. It will be Thursday February 21st, 6:30 pm at the MGS Library. We will be talking about if we want to change names, incorporate, update by-laws, etc. If you would like to be a part of this discussion, please join us on the 21st. Alerts and reminders about this meeting will be on our Facebook page and on our website: www.mulvanetape.blogspot.com. We will be voting on the changes at the March 7th regular T.A.P.E. meeting.
Fundraising for 2013 – 2014: presentations were made by possible vendors. We will recap these vendors and vote on our 2013 – 2014 vendor(s) at the March meeting. Be there if you want to vote!

Adjourn: A motion was made by Lacie Blevins to adjourn at 10:00 pm. Seconded by Heather Leggett.
** Next T.A.P.E. Meeting: Tuesday March 5th at 6:30pm at the Grade School Library! **
(The monthly meeting was changed from the 7th to the 5th due to the Art & Technology Show on the 7th)
