Old Business:
Teacher Appreciation:
This will take place on Wed May 9th in the libraries at MPS, MGS and the bus barn. All staff members are invited to attend, including those in the central office. Breakfast will be catered by Panera and will include bagels, cream cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola.
New Business:
2012/2013 Committees:
We would only like to fill the committee chairs that necessitate work over the summer or planning prior to the first meeting. This leaves positions open for those who are new to TAPE or would like to volunteer in the fall.
T-shirts: Lacie Blevins will be heading this committee up again
TAPE Membership: Heather Leggett will begin this committee (as well as enrollment and room
parent list) and work on it through the summer. She will be willing to hand that over in the
fall if we have a new volunteer.
                Enrollment: Open.
Box Tops for Education: Open. We will pursue a few leads.
Fall Fundraiser: Starts Aug 28th and ends Sept 18th. Open.
Field Day Expenses: TAPE traditionally provides bottled water for MPS’s field day and then donates the exact same amount in funds to MGS to go towards their trip to the DRC. A motion was made by Heather Leggett to spend no more than $100 per school on Field Day. Seconded by Lacie Blevins. Passed by unanimous vote.
T-shirt Sample Funds: Please see committee report above.
Movie Licenses for 2012/2013: Each year TAPE traditionally pays the movie license fee for each school to be able to play movies within their buildings. A motion was made by Elizabeth Thornton to spend no more than $700 on movie license fees for both schools. Seconded by Heather Leggett. Passed by unanimous vote.
Old Settler’s Day: We will be doing a window display and a parade “float”. We need a committee for this set of events as well. A motion was made by Heather Leggett to spend no more than $250 on Old Settler’s Day event. Seconded by Elizabeth Thornton. Passed by unanimous vote.
Membership Fees: A motion was made by Heather Leggett to change the TAPE membership fee to $0.00 for the 2012/2013 school year. Seconded by Lacie Blevins. Passed by unanimous vote. We will look at the school directory as being sold separately.
Beverages for Teacher Appreciation Breakfast: Food has been covered and paid for through a previous vote but funds were not left to buy beverages. After an open discussion it was decided to use the three cases of water left over from Movie Night. We will place one case at each location.
2012/2013 Meeting Times: suggestion to keep meetings on the first Thursday of the month. The first half of the year will take place at MPS library and the second half will take place at MGS library. A decision was made to keep this the same for next year.
Purchase of Wildcat Mascot for MPS and MGS use: a motion was made by Lynzee Backus to spend up to $1,000 on a Wildcat mascot. Seconded by Heather Leggett. Passed by unanimous vote.

This is the final meeting of the school year. See you at Enrollment!!
